The level of compassion and care you will receive from one of our IBCLCs
A discussion of one’s health history
Evaluation of latching, positioning, and general behavior at the breast
Pre- and post-feeding weigh-ins
Development of a plan of action and ongoing support to adjust the care plan as needed.
Two-weeks of follow-up text message support after the visit.
Consult Preparation
We want you and your baby to be as comfortable as possible during your appointment. Please read the short lists below so you can make the most of your time with our lactation consultants.
Bring
Your baby, ready to eat (please feed baby about 2 hours before your visit)
Your diaper bag with diapers, wipes, a changing pad
A written log of the past 24 hours (include how often baby nursed and/or you pumped)
If you are supplementing because baby is not latching, bring a filled bottle with expressed breast milk or formula
All tools you have used to assist with latching (nipple shield, SNS, etc.)
Your breast pump and all attachments
Our facility offers free lot parking, elevators, and automatic doors to make getting upstairs quick and easy.
